• Cleaning habits: Not rinsing or brushing your aligners regularly can allow buildup of plaque or tartar, which can make them look cloudy or stained.

Tips to prevent staining:

• Rinse or brush aligners with a soft toothbrush after eating or drinking anything besides water.
• Soak aligners in a cleaning solution designed for clear trays (like Retainer Brite) if recommended.
• Avoid drinking dark-colored beverages while wearing the aligners.
