Job Title:Â Dental Treatment Planning Coordinator
Job Summary: We are seeking an extremely friendly and organized Dental Treatment Planning Coordinator to join our amazing crew --> "The Redeemed Team"! This is a public role that must have incredible communication skills, a deep understanding of dental procedures (usually comes from years of experience in the dental field), and an ability to guide patients through complex treatment processes and financial options. They are responsible for coordinating patient treatment plans, ensuring smooth communication between the dental team and patients, and supporting the practice’s commitment to exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Patient Coordination:
- Work closely with patients to explain treatment plans, procedures, and timelines.
- Guide patients through each step of the treatment planning process, ensuring they understand their treatment options.
- Provide support and reassurance to patients with empathy and professionalism.
2. Treatment Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop and present personalized treatment plans based on the dentist’s recommendations.
- Coordinate and schedule appointments in alignment with the patient’s availability and the dental team’s calendar.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure timely and efficient scheduling of procedures.
3. Financial Counseling and Insurance:
- Explain treatment costs and present financing options to patients.
- Assist patients with understanding their insurance coverage and estimate out-of-pocket expenses.
- Facilitate the completion of financial arrangements and payment plans as needed.
4. Record Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, treatment plans, and financial agreements.
- Ensure all treatment planning documentation complies with privacy and confidentiality regulations.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
- Act as a liaison between the clinical team and the patient to ensure continuity of care and seamless communication.
- Communicate any updates or changes to treatment plans with the patient and dental team.
6. Administrative Support:
- Assist with front-desk tasks such as answering phones, checking patients in and out, and handling inquiries related to treatment plans.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a treatment coordinator, patient care coordinator, or in a similar role within a dental or medical office.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to explain complex information in a clear, compassionate, and professional manner.
- Proficiency in dental practice management software and basic computer skills. *We use Open Dental
- High school diploma or equivalent (relevant certifications or further education are a plus).
